Tampa Bay is a community where education is given the highest priority. Gifted programs are available at all grade levels and college advanced placement courses are offered at the high school level. The Hillsborough County School District leads the state in Florida’s Academic Scholars and Florida’s Undergraduate Fund Scholars. The strong academic program is enhanced by equally comprehensive extra curricular activities in athletics, music, student government and special interest clubs. In the Hillsborough County School District, you can choose to send your children to “Magnet” schools which feature a special theme or instructional focus such as math, science and technology, visual and performing arts and International studies.
